Video storyboard

Image
I put the images from my storyboard into a video to get an idea of the length of each scene to see whether i need to add or cut things. I set them to 10 seconds each and this took me to 2 minutes 40 seconds which is 10 seconds over my target. This is fine but i will see what i can do to make sure each scene is 10 seconds or less to make sure i keep within range. This also is not the complete storyboard and the ending is a work in progress. https://youtu.be/T29BbqfC4Xs

Critical Evaluation

The aim of my project was to develop material that could be used in a campaign to raise awareness of endometriosis. What I have done is the basis of what a real campaign should be. The animation portrays the theme and is in keeping with the materials for the project. It shows narrative which is compelling to audiences viewing it. It may struggle to appeal to everyone since it is very symbolic and required a bit of knowledge about women and menstrual cycles. I wish I would have been clearer on some themes but wanted to stick to the agreed to length.  The leaflet is again, and example of what I would like to be in informative leaflets in the future. There is little to promote reaching out to communities for support and this is something I wanted to demonstrate. Animations have been used in recent years to open a discussion about things that can be difficult to talk about. Examples of these include animations about mental health and sex education.  The Facebook page i...

Leaflet

Image
These are the final images of my leaflet. Overall i am happy with the tone and visual of it. I have also put the leaflet on Issu.com https://issuu.com/karinathomas92/docs/leaflet_final

Youtube Thumbnail

Image
I created a thumbnail for the video as i felt it would best represent it. It is rather simple using the characters featured in the animation with a white stroke outline to help it pop and in the colours that theme my brand.

Leaflet Target Audience

I wanted to keep the audience for the leaflet as open as possible. That is why i have avoided any imagery on the front and back of the leaflet. I was concerned putting any feminine illustration on the front may divert people from picking it up. The colours may be considered feminine but the presence of the yellow may help to balance that out. It is something that can be given to any one of any age without being too graphic and detailed. This is also to avoid any sort of embarrasment that comes from talking about such a thing.

Leaflet so far

Image
This is the current standing of the front page. The colours should help the leaflet stand out. I also included the word endometriosis at the top if the leaflet is stacked in a way that the title is covered. This is the middle of the leaflet. I am yet to add any illustrations but wanted to make sure i got the layout of the information correct and that i had sufficient space to fit it. The back page i have reserved for links to more information and a still image of the animation with a link to that.

Facebook and social design

Image
Once i had my logo done, i then set out to make the Facebook page appropriate to match it. I ensured that the Cover image was visable on both pc and mobile as they both display at different sizes. This is the first design i did. I was happy with how it looked but i wasnt happy with the colour. It became too pink when the endometroisis colour is more purple. It also didnt match the logo. I then redid it with the right colours and this was the final result. I was very happy with how authentic this looked as a water colour. The artistic style also matched the style of the animation so there was cohesion without matching too much. This is what i have as the final result. The graphics match well with the logo and the colours are soft and inviting. I decided to call it United by Endometriosis. This is because the emphasis of the animation and leaflet is that there are women and men with experience on endometriosis sharing their stories and helping others. I feel it is importan...
